Tremiti Islands

Uncontaminated nature, crystal clear water, the fascinating history, all this makes the Tremiti Islands a tourist stop over point which no lover of the sea should miss out on. They include: the island of San Nicola, the island of San Domino, the island of Caprara, the distant island of Pianosa.

The island of S. Nicola is the administrative, historical and religious centre with the walls of Fortress, Medieval cloisters, St. Mary Church with Polyptych and the wooden Crucifix.

The Island of San Domino is most popular for tourist, is completely covered by a pine forest.

There are a lot of tourist attraction: Cala delle Arene, Cala degli Inglesi, Cala Matano; coastal formations as rocks: I Pagliai, l'Architiello, Scoglio dell'Elefante; mysterious caves: Grotta delle Viole, Grotta del Bue Marino, Grotta delle Rondinelle...

It is possible to sail around the islands on the numerous ships belonging to a co-operative. On San Domino there are also some Diving Centers.
